and I'm back ...

Last night, I slept in my bridesmaid dress. I woke up with my contacts in and my feet had a throwback case of "frat foot".  I can not find my brand new gold wedges (if you have them, give them back).  I was told I did a keg stand in said b'maid dress at 3 a.m.  I wouldn't believe it either ... but there are pictures.

Before this past weekend's wedding got "classy", it was truly an incredible day - every detail from the ceremony to the tented reception at the groom's parents home was special and meaningful.  All family members and select HMOHs had a hand in putting together the soiree.  At one point I was carrying hay bails, the groom's sister was on a ladder helping to hang the 'K' and 'W' made from branches. There were the wood-carved signs that directed people to the cocktail hour and the restrooms.  The dance floor was packed from the moment the band opened with Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" until 3 a.m. when the last bus arrived to take us to our hotels.  The guest list included all my closest friends, and the bridal party was pretty damn good-looking, the groom extremely handsome - and the bride, a vision.

Much to discuss/share from the wedding - and I can't wait to post some of the outstanding photos that will soon be uploaded to Pictage. I can tell you that the dress zipped up and by the end of my four hour dance party, was pretty stretched out.  The table cards I created sat perfectly on each of the guest tables.  The MOH speech, complete with large embarrassing posterboard of couple and delivered by myself and Missy (Matron of Honor), was highly complemented. I successfully channeled all the advice I gave to you (HMOH tip #603) and brought myself to tears while making the crowd laugh. I had opened my MOH speech at Missy's wedding three years ago by asking my friends (recent college grads) to save the date for my wedding - 2015.  It was funny then because it was sooooo far away.  Standing in front of them at Kelsey's - I realize now that I missed the perfect opportunity to tell them I'm going to need some more time.

I'm taking the evening to recover. While the bride and groom head off to enjoy their honeymoon - the Maid of Honor gets to go back to work ...
