This weekend I finally got to take in American Woman at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The walk-through exhibit features costumes and displays that take you from the end of the nineteenth century, to the coined Gibson Girl and Flappers of the early twentieth, through the Screaming Sirens and old Hollywood glamour of the 1930s. The piece examines how the American woman's fashion and identity were redefined across decades by mass media and throughout the world. It's incredible to see how fashions from long ago inspire what us fashionistas wear today.
If you're in the NYC area, I highly recommend you check it out - and when you're finished browsing, head up to the Met roof and grab a refreshing sangria and breathtaking panoramic view of NYC.

On another note - I only caught a few snidbits of last night's MTV Movie Awards:
- Sandra Bullock is God.
- Kristen Stewart is God-awful and I hope a vampire eats her.
That is all for now. Happy Kelsey and Will's Wedding Week!
